Exceptional Real Estate Marketer
Sheldon F. Good has gained an international reputation for his use of groundbreaking real estate marketing techniques, including the now familiar real estate auction. He and his former firm, Sheldon F. Good & Company, introduced the real estate auction to the U.S. marketplace in the 1970’s in order to match the specific needs of real estate sellers with those of qualified real estate buyers.
Their initial and successful auctions of a new, ready-to-operate, chain of fast-food stores in downstate Illinois, an apartment building near Chicago’s lakefront and a 300,000-square-foot industrial building in Minneapolis, MN convinced the team that auctions filled an important void in the U.S. marketplace. All three real estate auctions attracted strong, serious buyers and produced property sales at optimal prices. Tonka Toy snatched the warehouse while investment partnerships purchased the restaurant chain and the apartment building.
Over the next three decades, Sheldon F. Good honed the real estate auction technique to successfully market all types of properties on a national and international scale. By the mid-1980s, Sheldon F. Good and his firm drew the attention of U.S. Home Corp. which ultimately retained them to auction several thousand newly built, single-family residences in dozens of cities around the nation.
